Financial Resources

We pride ourselves on making it our mission to keep veterinary care attainable for all. We believe in the idea of providing a spectrum of care, knowing every family brings with them unique hopes, concerns and individual needs. Our empathetic and resourceful veterinary team is dedicated to helping you find the support and medical treatment options your fur baby needs, regardless of financial constraints. We understand that you want what is best for your baby and we’re committed to working with you to identify all available options for treatment.

Payment Options

“Layaway”

Here at Smith Animal Clinic we offer “layaway” plans where you can set up routine payments to be applied to your account in advance of a planned surgery, Wellness Visit or non-urgent medical treatments and diagnostics. Please contact our front desk to discuss this option.

CareCredit

CareCredit is a payment plan option specifically designed for healthcare expenses, including the care of your pets. It allows pet owners to finance veterinary costs (often with favorable terms such as 0% interest for 6 months) offering a way to manage and pay for treatment and services over time. This option is particularly helpful when your pet’s medical needs may be ongoing or urgent. Click the link below for more information or to apply.

Pet Insurance

Pet Insurance operates on a reimbursement model which means you pay for your pet’s veterinary care upfront, submit a claim with the necessary documentation (usually a paid invoice and/or medical records) and the pet insurance company reimburses you for a portion of the covered costs according to your policy’s terms. Understanding the details of your chosen plan is crucial to knowing what to expect when you get ready to file your claim. It is important to note that most pet insurance companies do not cover pre-existing conditions. We recommend you work with a professional who is experienced in helping pet owners find the best plan for their particular health conditions.
